Richie Winearls

Producer /Director Richard Winearls has had experience in Film, TV and corporate video production. He began his career as Production Co-ordinator at MTV as part of the original team to set up VHI on behalf of MTV Europe.
Under the banner of his own production company Molton Rock he then went on to direct and produce music videos and short films. These included the spoof horror ‘Spag’ a cautionary tale of killer spaghetti which premiered at The Scala Picture House, before embarking on his first feature film ‘The Imitators’ in 2000. The Imitators won the ‘Young Jury Prize for Best Film’ at Gijon International film festival and the Fuji Cinematography Award at the Raindance film festival and alongside Spag was picked and distributed by 50th Street Films and Troma Films NY.
He has produced, directed and edited over 100 corporate videos for advertising, marketing and PR companies and picked up a couple of PRCA National awards along the way.
He became Head of Video Production at BANG Showbiz, producing daily celebrity news stories for broadcast worldwide including red carpet events such as award events and ceremonies,including BAFTA.
He created ‘WOE’, (We Own Everything Corporation) a online satirical sit-com. and has just finished producing and directing the short film ‘Quake’.
